Dr. Fauci Says Doing This One Thing Could End the Pandemic

Dr. Fauci Just Issued This Urgent

Just a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, and nearly half-a-million people in the United States have lost their lives due to the highly infectious virus. Unfortunately, the international health crisis isn’t going to end on its own. On Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical advisor to the President and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, revealed the one thing that could end the pandemic once and for all during the White House COVID-19 Response Team Briefing. Read on to find out what it is—and to ensure your health and the health of others, don’t miss these Sure Signs You’ve Already Had Coronavirus

Dr. Fauci Says Vaccines May Reduce the Viral Load, Studies Show

Dr. Fauci started by discussing how the current Pfizer and Moderna vaccines can not only protect you from getting COVID-19, but may also keep you from getting sick and spreading the virus if you do catch it. He revealed that both companies “are going to be looking at the viral load in the nasopharynx” to determine how the viral load in a person who is vaccinated but has a “breakthrough infection” compares to a person who’s un-vaccinated and has an asymptomatic infection. “Is there a difference in the viral load? That will be very important,” he pointed out.

“The real question is, is there a relationship between viral load and transmissibility?”

He says that early research is “favorable” and judging from previous HIV studies, that viral load does in fact influence the likelihood of transmission, “the lower, the viral load, the less likelihood of transmissibility, the higher, the viral load, the higher, the likelihood of transmissibility,” he explains.

Now, especially because of the highly transmissible variants spreading around the globe, Fauci urges the importance of getting vaccinated, “not only for the health of the individual to protect them against infection and disease”—including the variants— “but it also has very important implications from a public health standpoint for interfering and diminishing the dynamics of the outbreak,” he added.

“So when your turn to get vaccinated comes up, get vaccinated,” he asserted. “It’s not only good for you and your family and your community, it will have a very important impact on the dynamics of the outbreak in our country.”
